Gestern Abend (17.07.2012) haben wir das Interventionsprojekt eröffnet, indem wir an 9 Portraits im ersten und zweiten Obergeschoss des Hauptgebäudes und an der Humboldt-Statue vor dem Haupteingang Beschriftungskärtchen angebracht haben. Mit den Begleitbroschüren ausgestattet konnten die Leute, die bei der Eröffnung waren einen Rundgang durch das Hauptgebäude machen und sich die Kontextualisierungen ansehen. Vielen Dank an alle die zur Eröffnung gekommen sind für diesen schönen Abend!

Bisher gibt es keine offizielle Reaktion der Univerwaltung. Welchen Standpunkt sie gegenüber unserer kritischen Auseinandersetzung einnimmt ist jedoch bereits deutlich gemacht worden:

Tag 1 nach der Installation unserer Beschriftungen: Die Beschriftungen an der Humboldt-Statue, sowie die Beschriftungen an den Portraits der Nobelpreistr_ägerinnen Adolf Butenandt und Otto Hahn wurden entfernt. Die Broschüren die im Foyer ausgelegt wurden, haben wir im Mülleimer gefunden.

Yesterday evening (17.07.2012) we inaugurated our intervention project by installing captions on 9 portraits in the first and second floor of the main building and on the Humboldt-statue in front of the main entrance. Equipped with the accompanying leaflet everyone who came to the opening had the chance to walk through the building and look at the contextualizations. Thanks for the beautiful evening to all of you who came to the opening!

There has been no official reaction of the administration of the university until now. But they already demonstrated their attitude towards our critical examination:

Day 1 after the installation of our captions: The captions on the Humboldt-Statue, as well as the captions on the portraits of the Nobel Prize winners Adolf Butenandt and Otto Hahn have been removed. We found the leaflets that had been displayed in the foyer in the wastebin.
